As with most Klingon designs purchased by the Romulans, the V-208 was fielded out of necessity to help expand the Romulan fleet. Following the destruction of Romulus, this class was quickly retired and remaining vessels sold.
2 Type 3s, 1 Type 4, 1 Type 5 and 3 Type 6s have been destroyed. 1 Type 1 and 2 Type 6s have been scrapped. 11 Type 5s and 9 Type 6s have been sold.
