Beginning on turn 2 after all players have powered their ships, roll d10. On a result of 10, the entire combat area is flooded with ions from the local star. All shields are disabled for that turn. Continue this at the start of each turn until the conclusion of combat.
The scenario ends on turn 12 due to the arrival of Federation reinforcements.
