Use to transport cargo as well as personnel, the H-9 is still a common site on many Romulan vessels and at Romulan ports of call. The vessel was also a popular model sold to a wide range of allied governments and individuals throughout known space.
It is estimated that well over 6,000 of these shuttles were built before production ended. 2/3 of all Type-1s have been sold, while nearly half of all Type-2s have been sold. Reports indicate that 1,261 Type-1s and 734 Type-2s are currently operating in the civil sector both inside and outside Romulan space. A significant number of these shuttles were lost with the unanticipated early destruction of Romulus.
