Use to transport cargo as well as personnel, the H-9 is still a common site on many Romulan vessels and at Romulan ports of call. The vessel was also a popular model sold to a wide range of allied governments and individuals throughout known space.
It is estimated that well over 6,000 of these shuttles were built before production ended. 2/3 of all Type 1s have been sold, while nearly half of all Type 2s have been sold. Reports indicate that 1,261 Type 1s and 734 Type 2s are currently operating in the civil sector both inside and outside Romulan space. A significant number of these shuttles were lost with the unanticipated early destruction of Romulus.
