Royal Andorian Lines is a corporation founded on Andor to provide secure Luxury Travel to those well-off enough to afford it. Since 2280, the company has constructed 8 high quality liners built to Andorian standards. These vessels all have a sturdy superstructure, trinary shielding and a modest weapons complement. Though there are 8 hardpoints for the AH-2 Beam Weapons, these weapons have limited range and power. The vessel does, however, have the power available to fire all of these weapons at once if necessarry, and this fact aids as a deterrent to piracy.
While these liners have predominantly Andorian crews, there are exceptions on each vessel. Those crew members that deal with the comfort of the passengers will often reflect a racial variety appropriate to their needs. Each vessel has the finest medical facilities and doctors, and care is taken to ensure that comfort is kept at a maximum with each cabin having the abiility to be individually adjusted to any climate found within the Federation.
Ships facilities include Activity Modules which can be “swapped out” when the ship is at any major company terminal, thus, a gambling module may be substituted for an entertainment hall or an aquatic module in very little turnaround time. As a cruise liner, the vessel is amongst the best in the Federation with eight 12 passenger shuttles for planetary excursions. At regularily scheduled stops like New Paris, additional shuttles are always available at the terminal facility.
Additional personnel are normally exchanged at each terminal. These personnel include entertainers, guides, stewards, and specialty medical staff. It is the personal attention to detail and passenger comfort, however, that has made the Royal Andorian Liners so successful.
The Royal Andor class remain in active service with regular maintenance and updates to the accommodations aboard. All 8 Mk Is are expected to continue operations for several more years.
