Another unpopular but effective design purchased by the Romulans, the P-19 remained active longer than many other hybrid designs. A total of 20 were traded in the initial shipment. 1 Type 1 was scrapped with the remaining 11 converted to the Type 2 configuration and 9 converted to Type 3 configuration. One of each type has been destroyed. All remaining Type 2s and Type 3s were converted to Type 4s in 2298. 2 were eventually scrapped with 16 converted to Type 5s. 6 Type 5s have been destroyed, 4 have been scrapped and 1 is listed as missing. The remining 5 vessels were placed in reserve fleets but eventually reactivated and sold to help fund relocation efforts after the destruction of Romulus.
