The Courageous Vindicator is another in the list of ‘long service’ captured Klingon vessels. First fielded in 2284, the Vindicator served along the Klingon border for nearly 40 years before being transferred to exploration duties. The Vindicator conducted exploration and survey missions for the next 10 years before being recalled for her first refit.
Once the Vindicator returned to active service, she would serve along the Federation border posing as an IKS vessel and then eventually deep into the Triangle attempting to destabilize Klingon relations in that region.
In 2368, the ship was assigned to interior patrol duties but was refit in 2374 in anticipation of the Dominion War. The Vindicator survived the war and was assigned to patrol duties near the ‘Artifact’ following the destruction of Romulus. The Vindicator is now under the Romulan Free States flag and is listed for sale.
