ALL PART OF THE SAME PLAN What, now?! “Surrender your vessel or be destroyer, chuSwI!” Gevtek looked around the bridge in disbelief. Every officer on the Grundusg look back at him in equal disbelief. “Is that the best you can come up with?” he said to the Klingon captain. It was the Klingon captains turn to look surprised. He had expected many possible answers from the Tellarite ship – but contempt was not one of them. Gevtek seized the moment. “You look like a human with that smooth head of yours! My mother has better ridges on her backside!” The Klingon captain bellowed and the line went dead. “How is it you always seem to bring your mother into the conversation?” Gevtek’s first officer smiled at his commander. “Practice,” Gevtek replied. “Sir! Two more Klingon ship! We’re surrounded!” the communication officer said nervously. Gevtek kept his cool, not wanting to show his sudden worry. The odds had quickly stacked against him. “Contact that Star Fleet ship we passed an hour ago. Tell them we need some – assistance,” he said with a snarl. “And how soon before those damn starboard warp coils are recharged!? That should have been done an hour ago!” “The Gravau is calling us, sir” Good, thought Gevtek. Hopefully we can figure a way out of this. |
