Pegasus Class X Cruiser

design by P.T. Riley

NOTES:
When problems developed with the Explorer class, Starfleet looked to the old Vagabond class for the inspiration to resolve the problems. The result was the Pegasus class cruiser. Sporting a shorter, broader support strut to increase stability and front-saucer mounted photon tubes in the event of the loss of the nacelle assembly. The Pegasus class was very successful and served as the basis for many of the elements found in the Constellation, Odysseus, and Questar classes.

The Pegasus class would remain in service until well into the 2330s.
