“We have them, my lord!” Kektosh showed his inexperience with his excitement. The first officer walked up behind him and smacked him on the back of the head. Kektosh turned angrily ready to challenge his superior.

The captain quickly chimed in. “You’re like most of the children that come through this bridge,” he said with a hint of frustration. “You believe the hype they feed you at the academy!”

“The Federation is far more capable than they let on, boy,” the comms officer chimed in.

“If you’re going to survive, learn the difference between truth and reality. You may just make it to Sto’Vo Kor with a hint of honor,” Added the weapons officer.

Kektosh looked at the bridge crew, all of whom had a grin on their face. He turned back to the helm display, watching as the ships closed the distance with the Federation ships. Kektosh quickly realized his did indeed have much to learn.

 

GAME SET-UP

Lay out one Star Trek Combat Simulator map-sheet in the configuration shown. This represents the area of space where the conflict takes place. Use the Graduate Starship Tactics Course rules in this scenario.

Defender
The Defending force consists of:

1 Cassard Mk II Class VI Missile Destroyer (USS McInerney)
1 Fenlon Mk II Class V Monitor (USS Steveson)
1 Loknar Mk II Class VIII Fast Frigate (USS Dallas)

Deployment
The Defending force deploys in the center of the map.

Attacker
The Attacking force 1 consists of:

1 D-20A Class VII Light Cruiser (IKS Defiance)
1 D-20A Class VII Light Cruiser (IKS Enraged Doombringer)
1 D-20A Class VII Light Cruiser (IKS Vicious Exiler)

The Attacking force 2 consists of:

1 D-18A Class VII Heavy Destroyer (IKS Exonerator)
1 D-18A Class VII Heavy Destroyer (IKS Unseen Dominator)

Deployment
Attacking force 1 enter from the right edge of the map. Attacking force 2 enters from the left side of the map.

Victory Conditions:
Victory is determined by the total number of victory points at the conclusion of the battle. Any vessel that leaves the field of battle is worth 1/2 the victory points.
