Design Notes: The Richard T. Durrett was drawn by Jim Botaitis, including incredible deck plans. Jim’s deck plans are on par with some of the best material out there. For more information on this design, visit Jim’s JBOT website. Well worth the trip!

There is bit of a conflict with the naming convention for this design. Jim created this Durrett (an extrapolation of his Anubis design) to be a predecessor to the FASA Durrett class. The USS Richard T. Durrett would eventually be updated in the same fashion as the USS Enterprise which becomes the Enterprise class. We had toyed with the idea of a new class name, and with possibly making FASA’s design the Durrett II, but in the end, with the Durrett so established in FASA lore, we went with the full name. Hopefully this isn’t too confusing! Enjoy.
