The Virulent class is believed to be the second most produced vessel to come from the Dominion. Reports on the Alpha and Beta models are less concrete, however captured information show that over 1,000 and as many as 1,200 of these ships have been produced. Current estimates are that 167 Delta and 737 Epsilon variants are still in active use, although this number may be higher as production numbers in Dominion controlled space in the Gamma Quadrant are considered only moderately accurate. 10 Epsilons are believed to be used as training vessels. Records indicate that 16 Alphas, 19 Betas, 24 Gammas, 32 Deltas and 81 Epsilons have been destroyed, well over half being lost during the Dominion War. 4 Epsilons were captured during the war. 3 Gamma, 1 Delta and 5 Epsilon variants are listed as missing. 4 Alphas, 11 Betas, 6 Gammas, 7 Deltas and 33 Epsilons have been scrapped. Although nearly all of these ships eventually returned to the Gamma Quadrant, three Epsilons are know to be operating near Ferengi space as raiders. It is unknown if these ships are still crewed by Jem’Hadar or others.
