One of the first vessels given to the Loyal State Alliance in the early years of the MCA Civil War, the Mantiev class’s nine ships were each delivered and quickly retrofit with Orion technology, as were most of the MCA vessels used on both sides of the war. Each vessel was slightly different from her sister ships, but were similar in overall capabilities. Immediately thrown into the fray, these ships would go on to battle Rebel ships, Klingon vessels and a number of Orion pirate ships that attempted to take advantage of the situation. While these ships required a significant number of crew, they were popular with the fledgling navy of the LSA and remained in general service until the escalation of the war following the destruction of Praxis. One the Rebels were able to purchase major warships from the Klingons, these ships became vulnerable and were soon eliminated after 2305. The final vessel, the Mantiev’s Grandure, was destroyed in 2314.
