I just realized that I haven’t been posting the new ships we’ve been putting up, or the updates – or ANYTHING for that matter. So it’s probably about time to put up a front page post about it…
It’s almost an exclusive Romulan update – thanks to Atolm and an amazing warbird drawing…
The V-16 (Savant) Cruiser has been brought to the new site with a new graphic. This fun design was essentially Lachlan Sturrock’s kitbash of a standard V-4 with a TMP era Bird of Prey front boom and neck. The V-4 is an AWESOME looking ship – but it’s “run” ends before the TMP-TNG era. The V-16 is late TMP era – 2290’s on…and is a single engine design. I’ve considered backing up the launch date and having what is the Type-1 actually be the Type-2…but there just isn’t a good powerful single engine to make it at all dangerous. However – perhaps down the line we’ll post a nice twin engine design that fits the bill. However – this is such a beautiful looking ship I tried to re-draw it…with moderate success.
The V-30 (Winged Defender) Heavy Cruiser has been updated as well. New models bring the V-30 through the TNG/DS9 era. On the old site, we have some of the scouts and escorts done, but we didn’t have updates to some of the cruisers – even though we’d initially worked up some of them. Since MorganDonnavan had put out a few nifty kit bashes of the V-30 (see below) – I felt it was time to put this one out.
The V-70 (D’DERIDEX) CLASS XVIII BATTLECRUISER has also been updated significantly. Our original V-70 I felt fell short of the on-screen evidence. While the D’Deridex was larger than the Galaxy, they were fairly evenly matched in firepower. However, our Galaxy had greater firepower than the V-70 – and I knew with some tweaks it could be brought more in-line.
And the Z-1 (NOVA) CLASS XIII-XIV BATTLESHIP. With the updates to the other ships, I knew the Z-1 needed to be updated as well – and again it brings the design through the TMP/DS9 era.

V-63 (SARTORIX) CLASS XV HEAVY CRUISER (Type-A Warbird)
V-65 (SAEIHR’ALHA) CLASS XV COMMAND CRUISER
