DESIGN NOTES:<\/h3>\n

This version of the Tikopai is based on the Vintage Starship II web site<\/a> version. It is referred to as a \u201cSupplemental Cruiser\u201d on that site as well as in the FASA material. I decided to change the Enterprise style cruiser from Guenther & Sofia \u2013 Ships of the Star Fleet 2290-91 \u2013 Volume 1 \u2013 Cruisers & Frigates to the Tikopai II class<\/a> due primarily to the large gap in dates listed by FASA. According to \u201cThe Four-Years War\u201d, the Tikopia (along with the Achernar) were introduced in 1\/9509. This translates roughly to September of 2253. However, Guenther & Sofia list the first Tikopia as being launched in October of 2274, well after the war. The overall number is also quite different. I imagine that the survivors of this class may have been scrapped and the material used to build the Tikopai IIs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
