The MacIlvrae<\/em>, like a number of other Federation vessels, was sold to the AOFW in the hope of providing security and defense during the Four Years War. The vessel was improved as part of a collaboration with the Loraxial Corporation, Orage Ijek and Skar-Rar Weapon Systems, all of whom collaborated with AOFW designers to create a powerful and dangerous vessel. Supplementing nearly every major onboard systems with various Andorian components, the MacIlvrae<\/em> quickly rose to prominence, matching and even outperforming many Federation designs during the war. The MacIlvrae<\/em> also cemented the relationship between many Andorian companies and the New New Aberdeen shipyards.<\/p>\n

In 2273, the Mk II was launched with most of her improved components of Andorian design. The MacIlvrae<\/em> often found herself defending AOFW freighters and transports from IKS and Klingon. The MacIlvrae<\/em> would again be updated in 2301, retaining her above-average maneuverability and increasing her firepower. She quickly became the scourge of pirates across the Triangle, matching the more nimble pirate vessels throughout the region. <\/p>\n

The Mk IV was the final variant, first fielded in 2340. She would go on to engage multiple IKS vessels well into the 2360s. The MacIlvrae<\/em> eventually engaged several Dominion ships that attempted to use AOFW worlds as bases to attack the Romulans during the Dominion War. During that conflict, the MacIlvrae<\/em> was damaged several times, and the decision was eventually made to retire the vessel following the war. In 2379 she was officially placed on reserve status and remains in orbit of Halien III along with other AOFW and Star Fleet vessels. No official decision on the final disposal of the MacIlvrae<\/em> has been made.
