\nIn mid-2270, Orion designers introduced a new class of light raider intended to supplement the Wanderer class of Blockade Runner. Smaller, less combat capable and with half the cargo space, the Zekesh<\/em> was faster and required half the crew of it’s predecessors. The class was marketed as a high-speed armed courier\/light transport and proved popular in areas outside the spheres of influence of the three major powers. However, most eventually saw service along the Neutral Zone and within the Triangle region. For unknown reasons, the Romulans appear to have taken a particular dislike to this class, with reports indicating that Romulan commanders with go out of their way to peruse and hunt down this particular class of vessel. Rumors that the Orions may have mounted cloaking devices to these ships may be a possible reason.
