\nAt 0609 HRS FST, we rendezvoused with Research Squadron 3417 and began our deployment near the Hexentrex system.<\/p>\n

Approximately two hours later we detected a larger Klingon fleet approaching Hexentrex. At 0756 HRS FST we issued challenge to the Klingon vessels and received no reply. At 0801, battle was joined.<\/p>\n

At 0803 HRS FST, the USS Verbit sustained significant damage during combat. However, three enemy vessels had been destroyed and several other heavily damaged. Arriving reinforcements from Star Base 22 were detected several minutes later and the Klingon force withdrew. We have requested replacement of the Verbit and additional forces to be deployed in the Hexentrex system. <\/p>\n
