\nKLINGON STRATEGY:<\/strong><\/font>
\nStar Fleet Tactical Analysis: The Four Years War – Battle of Genmarx,<\/strong> Commodore James Komack, Commodore Rodrigo Mendez,(later Admiral) and the Star Fleet Office of Public Affairs and Information.<\/em>
\n“The greatest shortcoming of Star Fleet, clearly reflected in the early losses of the Four-Year’s War, was that the Federation had focused on peaceful exploration. Star Fleet was well aware that the Klingon were just one major power in the galaxy that could potentially be a threat. However, there seems to be no real emphasis on militarization of Star Fleet vessels. This would prove to be major issue during the early months of the conflict.<\/p>\n

Federation members were quick mobilize once war war declared. But the damage was done. The diversity and capability incorporated into Federation technology from it’s many members was still limited as the exploration and merchant focus of Star Fleet was paramount. This meant that Star Fleet had a vast pool of scientists and researcher who could focus on improving the defensive and offensive capabilities of Star Fleet. But such a focus was limited, both budgetarily and philosophically. Pacifist blocks, that had proven frustrating during the early months of the Romulan conflict, continued to project influence even as many realized that a conflict with the Klingon Empire was brewing.<\/p>\n

This influence bore witness in many of the early conflict of the war, notably at Genmarx.\n<\/td>\n

Escape:<\/strong>
\nAny vessel may leave the field of battle after turn 6 by warping from the area. Any vessel that warps from the field of battle is considered “destroyed” and is worth 1\/2 the Victory Points.<\/p>\n
