Although a popular design, the V-29 never saw significant military success, instead being more well known for it’s exploration successes. It was one of the oldest Romulan vessels to serve int the Dominion War, and it’s age was apparent in the significant losses during that conflict. Of the 172 built, 2 Type 2s and 41 Type 3s were destroyed. 4 Type 3s were captured by Dominion forces. 2 Type 3 are reported missing. 1 Type 1, 1 Type 2 and 36 Type 3s have been scrapped. Following the destruction of Romulus, 85 V-29s were disarmed and sold to various entities.
