A total of 61 CS-9-class ships are known to have been built. 48 Type 1s were eventually converted to Type 2 models. 3 Type 1s and 2 Type 2s have been destroyed. 4 Type 1s and 5 Type 2s have been scrapped. 5 Type 1s and 11 Type 2s have been sold to a wide range of civilian concerns. 30 Type 2s are currently in reserve fleets, although a number of these are believed to have been damaged with the destruction of the Romulan sun. 1 Type 1 is listed as missing and believed to have been captured by dissident forces. Vulcan Intelligence has tracked the ship on several occasions but has been unable to identify who commands the vessel.
